2008 Party for the Planet
The Party for the Planet is a kid-friendly Earth Week celebration.
- Free activities for children including create a toad abode, construct a bird house, make a bagel bird feeder, and more
- Booths in the carousel building
- Free seedlings will be given away at the Sierra Club Booth (trees donated by Cass County Soil Conservation District)
- Tree planting ceremony at 1:00 pm. Awards will be presented to event sponsors, "Keep ND Clean" poster contest winners, and the Newspaper in Education sculpture contest winners.

- FREE Admission to the public!
- FREE Parking to the public. A free shuttle bus provided by MAT bus will operate between the F-M Green Expos and the Party for the Planet and the Red River Zoo during zoo hours (noon-4pm)
2007 Party for the Planet:
1,400 attended the 2007 Party for the Planet at the Red River Zoo. Informational and educational booths provided fun activities for families and children. Over 1,000 seedling trees were given away to area families, and a ceremonial tree planting provided an opportunity to here from choir and dignitary speeches and awards for contest winners.
